The National Club recognizes that keeping up with trends of dress code in today’s business world is an evolving process. In that vein, the Board of Directors has recently reviewed our definition of business casual and has agreed to introduce “smart dressy” denim jeans. However, formal business attire (jacket and tie for men) is always appropriate in the Club.
Our dress code policy is an important tradition at The National Club and is designed to complement today's more casual lifestyles while still respecting the Club's longstanding traditions and the excellence in standards for which the Club is noted.
Business Casual Attire: allowed in the Simcoe Dining Room, Simcoe Lounge, Marconi Lounge, 1874 Bar|Grill, Roof Top Patio & Lounge and Bar Lounge* (*gentlemen are requested to wear a sports jacket, suit jacket, or blazer in the Bar Lounge).
Men – Tailored trousers, smart dressy jeans (are permitted in 1874 Bar|Grill, Roof Top Patio & Lounge), shirts with collars and sleeves, and turtleneck sweaters are allowed.
Not permitted: Faded, torn or worn jeans, sweatshirts, athletic shoes, and casual sandals (such as beach sandals) are not permitted anywhere in the Club, nor is any apparel slogans or commercial messages.
To avoid any embarrassment, please advise your guests of our dress code and cell phone policy’s while visiting the Club.
